The Access to Capital Academy is a comprehensive six month program providing education to small, minority and women owned businesses that will develop and strengthen their loan package. Businesses assisted must be located in the New Market Tax Credit census tract. A group of 20-40 businesses will be selected to participate. The curriculum includes Writing a Business Plan, Personal Credit, Developing Financial Statements, Bookkeeping Basics, Market Analysis, Forecasting, Loan Packaging, and much more.

The SBD and PCDIC are collaborating with local lenders for referrals and resources and with Phoenix College, who has accredited the course.
